Genuit Group takes Sustainability Award at National Building & Construction Awards 2026
The water management, ventilation and heating products manufacturer has won the category in the 24-category awards programme, having earlier been shortlisted, with its published emissions commitments giving the win context.
Genuit Group plc has won the Sustainability Award at the National Building & Construction Awards 2026, the manufacturer of water management, ventilation, heating and climate resilience products has announced.
The awards programme spans 24 categories and is judged by a panel of industry experts, according to organiser Events and PR. The organiser's page lists the awards final as Friday 9 October 2026 at the Leonardo Royal, London Tower Bridge.
Genuit said the award recognised its purpose, "Together, we create sustainable living", and the work of its brands in developing and manufacturing products for water management, ventilation, heating and climate resilience.
Joe Vorih, Chief Executive Officer of Genuit Group, said: "Winning the Sustainability Award at the National Building & Construction Awards is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for everyone across Genuit Group."
He added: "This recognition reflects the passion and commitment of our colleagues, who work every day to help create a more sustainable built environment through innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement."
The shortlisting
Genuit had earlier announced that it was shortlisted in the Sustainability Award category of the same awards. In that finalist post, the group said the shortlisting reflected the progress it had made in reducing its environmental impact.
The group said the win encouraged it to keep investing in solutions that support climate adaptation, climate mitigation, healthy living and urban greening.
Emissions targets
The award sits alongside a set of published commitments on emissions. Genuit's target, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), commits the group to cutting absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 30% from a 2021 base year, according to the company.
Genuit said the SBTi certification aligns its emissions reduction targets with a 1.5°C trajectory. The group has also committed that 83% of its suppliers by emissions, covering purchased goods and services, will have science-based targets by 2027.
Beyond those interim targets, Genuit has publicly committed to reaching net zero by 2050, according to its sustainability strategy.
Earlier recognition
Genuit brand Monodraught has also received a King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation for its HVR Zero APX hybrid ventilation with heat recovery system, the group said.
Genuit's supplier commitment on science-based targets falls due in 2027.
